Plastic Surgeons- Don’t “Tweet” and Drive.
In a fatal accident yesterday afternoon that serves as a tragic reminder not to text while driving, celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan rolled his 95′ Jeep Wrangler off the edge of the windy Pacific Coast Highway. Suffering from massive head injuries the 50-year-old was pronounced dead after Ventura County Fire Department officials tried to airlift him from the scene. Crash investigators determined that texting was the cause of the accident.
Ryan’s last “Tweet” reads- “After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the [Pacific Coast Highway] west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!” Which was then followed by a photo of Jill, his dog who also perished in the crash, looking out at the Pacific Ocean with the caption, “Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune.”
Let’s all take this as yet another haunting reminder why we should not text, email, “tweet”, anything while driving.
