Plastic Surgery on the Rise as Economy Recovers
As with all industries, the economic downturn affected plastic surgery significantly. But now with the economy back on the rise, surgical procedures are regaining their popularity. Last year more than 13 million procedures were performed, which was an increase of 5% since the previous year. In 2010 the most popular procedure was breast augmentation followed by rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and then liposuction. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, “there is a pent-up demand for surgery”. Everyone wanted to get cosmetic procedures done the last few years but financially couldn’t. Now that things are looking better consumers are ready to follow through.
Now that the economy is gaining strength, will you be getting a dream procedure?
